A Beautiful Day

A beautiful day it was, now 5 months ago, when our dear cousin married a real beauty with brains!  Both being over 6' their love for one another is also great!  This couple's wedding was so personalized and filled with fun for all.  From the Zilker Rose Garden wedding to the bride's grandfather as the officiant, it was a beautiful service filled with scripture and passages that spoke to the happy couple.  Check out a few of the pictures captured from their big day by their talented photographer, Ashley Brooks Photography.

What an honor for E to be chosen as the ring "bear" for the ceremony

"This green space calls for playing!"

The stunning bride as she walks down the aisle with her dad.

Zilker Rose Garden was the wedding venue and the roses were in full bloom.

 Hip, hip, hooray!

 The happy newlyweds

Momma needed the Bahamas

What an awesome opportunity we had to join two fun friends to the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas!  Thanks to our folks who took on our boys which allowed us to enjoy this "second honeymoon" after 8 years of marriage!  The VRBO, the "Driftaway," was just as it was portrayed online.  Although it was warm with no A/C, there was a nice breeze on the boat dock and beach front.  Having our own boat throughout the week, allowed us to island hop and experience a lot of beautiful beaches and waters.  Marsh Harbour was a great place to stay as it was central to many surrounding islands!

On our "puddle jumper" from Nassau to Marsh Harbour!
On Sunday we got in on the party and pig roast at "Nippers" on Guana Cay.
Prior to the party we went to the "Bobber/Dream Tree" and left a message in a bottle as noted above.

 Nippers was hopping...
but the beach front was relaxing and beautiful!
The foliage around our house was lush.
Impressive plants and flowers were precisely planted even along tree branches to make the grounds just beautiful!
We found some great snorkeling at Sandy Cay where we were able to hook up our boat to a mooring and enjoy the underwater world of colorful fish, coral, and reefs.
Thanks to his scuba training, W is excellent at snorkeling deep to make some great discoveries.
Our favorite sandbar was Tilloo Bank where we found a ton of sand dollars and this beauty while snorkeling.
Breathtaking views from Pelican Cay!
This photo is taken on Treasure Cay which is known as one of the world's top 10 most beautiful beaches.
The turquoise water and light sand went on for miles!
Sun, Sand, Selfie
and Sea Life!
The ocean water was as turquoise as our boat's bimini top!
Here we are eating at Firefly in Hope Town after driving our boat from Marsh Harbour for dinner.
Sunset cruise after dinner.
My man snorkeling Mermaid Reef.  This is where we saw a moray eel.
Dolphins at play for all to see
W. was an early riser but finished two Clive Cussler books while on vacation!
Thanks to "Bunny," each couple lit a lantern on our last night in Marsh Harbour.
Leaving our mark on the sandbar at Tahiti Beach!
Until next time, we are thankful for the safe trip and wonderful memories that we made together.
We look forward to another trip back to the Bahamas!
