Increased Mobility (Ethan) and growing (seeds)

Wow, Ethan has been surprising us lately; He's really enjoying learning to walk more, and in the past few days, he's covered 4-6 ft multiple times! He's not nearly as timid as he used to be, and now he'll just take off in a pretty fast walk. Stay tuned, as I hope to grab a video of him soon.

On the garden front, I realized that it is about the right time to start tomato and pepper seeds for central Texas. Last year I started on Jan 18 in a window sill, and I wasn't very happy with their size come March 15th. So, with my birthday Home Depot gift card in hand, we ventured out and bought a fluorescent shop light, a pack of cool and a pack of warm T8 bulbs, and a mangled package of leftover Christmas lights. That's right, I now have a seed starting area with a "seed mat" of Christmas lights, and a pretty good spectrum for grow lights. And this cost me <$40 in parts!

I'll keep you posted on how it works. Oh, Ethan's just woke up. Gotta run!

Pre-Christmas Updates

It's been too long since we've updated y'all, so here is the first post to try to catch up.

Here's Ethan enjoying his bath-time. He's very happy that we upgraded him from the sink to the tub!

Here we are hiking at McKinney Falls State Park with Ethan's Aunt and Uncle. He was such a trooper! The fresh air really made him sleepy...

Ethan is getting dressed in big boy clothes for the trip to see Santa!
