Momma needed the Bahamas

What an awesome opportunity we had to join two fun friends to the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas!  Thanks to our folks who took on our boys which allowed us to enjoy this "second honeymoon" after 8 years of marriage!  The VRBO, the "Driftaway," was just as it was portrayed online.  Although it was warm with no A/C, there was a nice breeze on the boat dock and beach front.  Having our own boat throughout the week, allowed us to island hop and experience a lot of beautiful beaches and waters.  Marsh Harbour was a great place to stay as it was central to many surrounding islands!

 On Sunday we got in on the party and pig roast at "Nippers" on Guana Cay.

 Prior to the party we went to the "Bobber/Dream Tree" and left a message in a bottle as noted above.

 but the beach front was relaxing and beautiful!

  The foliage around our house was lush.  

Impressive plants and flowers were precisely planted even along tree branches to make the grounds just beautiful!

 We found some great snorkeling at Sandy Cay where we were able to hook up our boat to a mooring and enjoy the underwater world of colorful fish, coral, and reefs.

 Thanks to his scuba training, W is excellent at snorkeling deep to make some great discoveries.  

 Our favorite sandbar was Tilloo Bank where we found a ton of sand dollars and this beauty while snorkeling.

Thanks to "Bunny," each couple lit a lantern on our last night in Marsh Harbour.
